Another benefit to using bath salts is they help to relieve tension. They can help take away the achy feelings that you have in your lower back and feet. Helping to get rid of the tension also will help you get a better night sleep. Taking a bath with scented salts will relax you and help you sleep peacefully.

Another great benefit to using bath salts is that it can help to improve your circulation. They can also help to relieve tender and sore muscles. People who have back pain, arthritis, muscle tension and muscle spasms find that using bath salts help greatly to reduce stiffness and soreness.

Bath salts also help to open your pores. This helps you easily cleanse away dirt, sweat and toxins in your skin and help to purify your skin. Bath salts will also make your skin much softer. There more great skin problems besides dryness that bath salts can help such as irritations caused by insect bites, minor rashes and calluses on your feet. They can also help with more serious conditions such as athlete's foot, eczema and psoriasis. In addition bath salts also can help reduce the appearance of bruises and scars.

Many people like to use bath salts as a skin exfoliater. If you want to use bath salts as an exfoliater then you want to start by soaking the body part that you want exfoliated. The most common part of the body is the feet. Add salt to the water and continue to soak your feet. Then you should put more salt on your feet with a cloth dampened with warm water. Then you gently rub your feet paying special attention to the dry and callused areas until they are smooth. You can also use this technique to exfoliate your hands, elbows and knees. If you want to exfoliate you should do this before bathing. Then any of the dead skin that was not washed away will easily come off.

It is clear to see that bath salts are not only a nice smelling item that you can add to your bath. They are so much more! You can use them to help relieve tension, help reduce pain and soreness as well as use them to exfoliate your skin.
